AIRBUS announces the type certification (TC) of the A319neo aircraft equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines, jointly awarded by the EASA and the FAA on December 21. It is the fifth member of the A320neo family to obtain the precious sesame. Only the A319neo aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM now remains, which is scheduled to fly next year. The two aircraft have only 53 firm orders to date.
