The Competition and Markets Authority has launched an investigation into the Atlantic Joint Business Agreement set up by IAG, AMERICAN AIRLINES and FINNAIR. The JV it created had been approved by the EU in exchange for the provision of slots in London for ten years to promote competition on five routes. In view of the expiry of the agreement in two years and the Brexit, the CMA has taken over the case for the post-2020 period.
