SIKORSKY and BOEING unveil the first images of the SB>1 DEFIANT hybrid helicopter, developed in collaboration for the US Army's Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD) program. Based on the coaxial concept of the X2, it will be used to develop the future US military utility helicopter, which is due to enter service in the early 2030s. The Defiant competes with Bell's V-280 Valor tilt-rotor.
