RUSSIAN HELICOPTERS (a Rostec company) continues its export efforts with the creation of an MRO centre within the HELWAN FACTORY FOR DEVELOPED INDUSTRIES (HFDI) facilities in Helwan (south of Cairo). In particular, the consortium has been helping to equip and train staff since 2015, in order to certify it in 2019. The centre will first handle the maintenance and overhaul of the Egyptian Air Force's (EAF) Mi-8T and Mi-17-1V aircraft, and plans to integrate the Mi-17V-5 aircraft. |
