RAYTHEON UK signed a £250 million contract in early January with the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD) to support the ROYAL AIR FORCE's Shadow R1 surveillance aircraft fleet for 11 years from April 2019. This includes assistance with the design and integration of modifications to upgrade the Shadow to the Mk2 standard. Raytheon said the contract would secure 200 full-time jobs in its ISR centre in Wales, as well as 250 jobs in the UK supply chain. |
