ASSB (Airfoil Services Sdn Bhd), the joint venture between MTU AERO ENGINES and LUFTHANSA TECHNIK in Malaysia, has started building a 5,200 square meters extension of its Kuala Lumpur facility. This expansion will increase its current repair capacity from 650,000 to 900,000 parts per year by 2020. Founded in 1991, ASSB is specialized in high-pressure compressor (HPC) and low-pressure turbine (LPT) airfoil repairs. In the past two years, ASSB has seen a 50% growth compared to 2016.
